Tecpro Australia has expanded its range of rotating spray heads with the introduction of the Turbo SSB 125, designed to clean medium to large vessels and manufacturing equipment.

The Breconcherry Turbo SSB 125 is the latest addition to Tecpro’s comprehensive range of specialist tank cleaning solutions. Fitted with a 1.25” BSP female connection, the Turbo SSB 125 generates a stronger impingement force with a cleaning throw length of five metres at 4 bar.

“The Turbo SSB 125 can powerfully clean vessels up to ten metres in diameter,” says Graeme Cooper, Managing Director of Tecpro Australia. “This capability means it will be of tremendous value to those working in industries where larger scale, thorough cleaning is critical.”

Tecpro Australia will display the Turbo SSB 125 at the upcoming Foodpro event at the Sydney Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour from 10 – 13 July.

“It will be great to be able to show customers our complete range of tank cleaning heads at Foodpro,” says Mr Cooper. “And with the Turbo SSB 125 being new to Australia, we’re sure there will be a lot of interest in it.”

The Turbo SSB 125 works by using a slow, constant rotation, which allows longer chemical dwell times and improved cleaning action. It also features high impact fan jets that cut down on cleaning time.

As with the other smaller-sized Turbo SSB heads, the new 125 version has the same unique hydraulic bearing design with no ball bearings. “ The fact that it does not contain ball bearings prolongs its life and also eliminates the risk of contamination caused by degradation of bearings,” says Mr Cooper. “This low wear design requires minimal maintenance, with no spare parts required.”

The drive chamber contains a unique pressure regulation system that helps to keep the rotation speed consistent under differing pressure, meaning the fan jets work more effectively due to their better jet peripheral velocity.

Constructed from Stainless Steel 316L, PTFE, or C-PTFE, the Turbo SSB 125 has a 360º spray pattern. It allows a maximum liquid temperature of 95º centigrade and a maximum ambient temperature of 140º centigrade. Wash fluid is directed through the slots on the rotating ball, making it ideal for burst rinsing or prolonged, strong impact washing.

“The Turbo SSB 125 has a cleaning radius of 5 metres at 4 bar, whilst for simply wetting a tank surface, the radius is eight metres at 4 bar,” says Mr Cooper. “Its low speed, high volume slotted spray ball design means it conforms with the highest standards of hygiene and purity making it suitable for a large number of applications across the pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage industries.”

Tecpro Australia will feature the Turbo SSB 125 at Foodpro, display stand W16, Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour from 10 – 13 July.
