In hygiene conscious industries, Breconcherry’s Clip-Disc offers a number of advantages over low cost sprayballs for CIP tank cleaning.

“Many people are replacing sprayballs with the Clip-Disc because of its ability to deliver a 360 degree wash sphere,” said Graeme Cooper, Managing Director of Tecpro Australia. “This ensures it can aggressively wash the entire surface with uniform intensity. Its continuous wall of wash water can give a more consistent clean compared with the radial spray generated by a sprayball, particularly in situations where the internal dimensions of the vessel are irregular, or the size of the vessel does not suit the characteristics of the particular spray ball.”

Because of its simple design, the Clip-Disc is quick to install and to disassemble.

“The Clip-Disc is held in place by a pin fitted to a pin hole drilled through the inlet pipe line,” says Mr Cooper. “There is no thread required and so it is very simple to install or replace.”

Available in two sizes, the Clip-Disc generates a wetting radius of approximately 3.5 metres for the Clip-Disc 150 and 3 metres for the Clip-Disc 100. The cleaning radius offered is approximately 2.5 metres and 2.2 metres respectively.

“The Clip-Disc is compliant with the most stringent regulatory standards and is very cost effective,” says Mr Cooper.  “It does not contain any ball bearings so maintenance requirements are also minimal.” Low cost sprayball

The Clip-Disc’s central body is constructed from 316 stainless steel and the rotor is made from PVDF (Kynar). It can operate in ambient temperatures of up to 140 degrees centigrade and a maximum operating temperature of 95 degrees.

“Breconcherry’s Clip-Disc is a popular choice in industries such as pharmaceutical, biotech, and food and beverage where hygiene is crucial,” says Mr Cooper. “Its affordability, reliable performance and ease of use are being increasingly recognised worldwide.”
