Orange Sky – In 2014, this simple question inspired two young men to begin a mobile washing service for people experiencing homelessness around the Brisbane city area. Today they provide regular laundry and shower services in 22 locations nationally and Tecpro Australia are very proud to support their work.

Orange Sky run their laundry and shower services out of vans. Each van requires 2 hose reels and that’s where Tecpro Australia helps.

We are supporting Orange Sky by providing cost price hose reels for their vans. Our hose reels make it easier and faster for the Orange Sky volunteers to set up and pack up the mobile service at each location. The vans have been fitted with 2 stainless steel hose reels designed to tolerate water temperatures up to 90°C and a maximum pressure of 200 bar.

Orange Sky co-founder Nic Marchesi said:

We have water tanks on board each of our vans, but we also have the option to plug into water at most of our shifts. This allows us provide more washing and showers for our friends on the street.

Tecpro’s hose reels help our volunteers operate more efficiently when setting up and packing down and we’re very grateful for their support.”

Tecpro and Orange Sky – helping the homeless, one hose reel at a time

Tecpro Australia has a huge range of strong, functional hose reels that are suitable for hoses of varying sizes and lengths. The range includes spring retracting and motor or manual rewind. Each type is available in a number of finishes including powder coated steel, cataphoric treated, 304 or 316 stainless steel.
