Marina Fuel Hose Reels – As part of an ambitious expansion and upgrade of its facilities, Mirvac’s Birkenhead Point Marina recently opened its new fuelling wharf and kiosk.

Mirvac enlisted the help of Moore Management to construct the refuelling wharf which has 3 diesel and 3 premium unleaded fuel bowsers. In addition, there is a diesel bowser fitted with cam-lock to provide up to 250 litres of fuel per minute – ideal for satisfying the refuelling requirements of larger vessels.

“Easy-to-use, Durable, Attractive”
As part of its upgrade, Birkenhead Point Marina required highly durable, attractive fixtures and fittings to complement its quality appointments. At the Fuel Wharf, the fuel hose reels needed to be corrosion resistant, retractable and easy for marina staff to use.

They chose Tecpro Australia’s Spring Retractable Hose Reels constructed from AISI 316 Stainless Steel because:

• They are ATEX certified for use in transferring flammable fuels.
• The retractable reels lock into place to ensure a safer, neater work environment for the Marina’s staff and patrons.

Early feedback is glowing
While the Fuel Wharf has only been opened for a short time, there have been glowing reports received about its attractive looks and its efficient refuelling capabilities. Marina manager Phil McGowen states that “The reels are excellent, easy to use by all of our staff, neat and tidy, professional.
