Situation:
Enlisting the help of Moore Management, Mirvac undertook an ambitious upgrade and expansion project at its Marina at Birkenhead Point in Sydney, NSW. The project included a significant overhaul of their refueling wharf, which necessitated the installation of new marina fuel hose reels. Problem:
The fuel wharf at the marina is equipped with three diesel and three premium unleaded fuel bowsers. Mirvac required an aesthetically pleasing, safe, and functional solution to transfer fuel from the bowsers to the fuel tanks of the various boats using their refueling service. The chosen solution needed to be corrosion-resistant, suitable for flammable liquids, and user-friendly for marina staff. Given the harsh marine environment, any equipment used also had to withstand the corrosive effects of saltwater and the general wear and tear associated with constant exposure to the elements.

Tecpro Australia recommended the installation of diesel and ATEX fuel hose reels. To address the corrosive nature of the marine environment, the reels were constructed entirely from 316 stainless steel.
