ATEX tank cleaning spray heads – In industrial and manufacturing settings containing potentially explosive elements, the ATEX Certified CHEMIDISC’s antistatic properties make it the safe choice in cleaning spray heads for CIP.

“This ATEX version of the CHEMIDISC is made from carbon filled PTFE which dissipates electricity, thereby making it antistatic,” says Graeme Cooper, Managing Director of Tecpro Australia. “Compare this with standard metal spray heads which pose the risk of generating a spark, which is of course very dangerous in combustible environments.”

The ATEX CHEMIDISC range is available in a variety of sizes making it suitable for a large range of tank sizes.

“CHEMIDISC rotating heads offer powerful and low cost cleaning performance,” says Mr Cooper. “Their lightweight construction makes them safer for use in glass lined vessels and because they contain no ball bearings, the risk of contamination is greatly reduced.”

CHEMIDISCs operate at a maximum temperature of 95 degrees centigrade and are designed and manufactured in the UK by Breconcherry.

“The CHEMIDISC ATEX tank cleaning spray heads is ideal for burst rinsing and can be placed into the tank at any angle,” says Mr Cooper. “They have only one moving part, the  rotating disc. Spinning friction free on a hydraulic bearing, the disc instantly converts the wash fluid into a sphere of fast moving droplets.”

Their powerful performance and antistatic properties have seen the CHEMIDISC used extensively throughout the pharmaceutical, nuclear, chemical and food industries.

”CHEMIDISC gives a fast and aggressive wash,” says Mr Cooper. “The 360 degree spray pattern enables the total surface area of the tank, including inlet pipe and overhead nozzles, to be cleaned thoroughly due to the high power and uniform distribution of the wash fluid.”
