Copley Nozzles Copley Bitumen Nozzles have been primarily designed to spray liquid
tar, bitumen emulsion, or water on to the road or footpath.
The nozzles are manufactured with various orifice sizes to give different rates
of discharge.
|
There are 2 distinct types of nozzles:-
1. Intermediate Nozzles – used along the
spray bar.
Sizes available are:- S1, S2, A3, A4, B6, B8
2. End Nozzles – only used on the two outer ends of the
spray bar. The discharge rates of end nozzles are approximately double that of
the corresponding intermediate nozzle.Sizes available are:- ES1, ES2, EA3,
EA4, EB6
The maximum uniformity of distribution of the liquid can only
be achieved when the nozzles are assembled on the spray bar at:-
1. Correct spacing
2. Correct alignment of fan
3. Correct height above pavement
4. Correct volume of liquid per minute per nozzle.
All nozzles are manufactured from 7/8” square brass and have a 1/2” BSPT
thread.

Cobra Head Screen Washing Nozzles
Cobra Head Nozzles are manufactured from tough, corrosion and
abrasion resistant polyurethane. While the nozzles were developed
specifically for screen washing applications and for spreading
material evenly over screens they have also been used successfully
for foam suppression, conveyor belt washing, and dust control at
chutes and hoppers.
Manufactured in 5 different colours with each colour
denoting a different orifice size 3mm (grey), 5mm (green), 7mm
(blue), 9mm (yellow), and 11mm (red).
A steady, fan shaped water curtain, with pressures from 0.5 to
3.5 bar gives effective washing. In practise it has been found
that nearly always, better washing can be achieved with lower
water pressures.
The following can be taken as a guide: -
- Small size material:- low water pressure, large water quantity – use
9mm or 11mm orifice
- Large material size: - high water pressure, medium water
quantity – use
5mm or 7 mm orifice.
All nozzles have 3/4” BSPT male thread. |

Longwall Shearer Drum Nozzles & Staple
The Stainless Steel Shearer Drum nozzles are manufactured with
a built-in strainer to protect against blockage. Each spray is
precisely positioned in the shearer drum to reduce airborne dust
generation and minimise the risk of frictional ignition.
The nozzle is simply but firmly retained by a stainless steel staple which
ensures quick nozzle replacement. |

Long - Throw Nozzles
These brass nozzles are useful where a powerful, cohesive jet
is needed for a cleaning or fire fighting or similar application.
Two sizes are available: -
1. 50 mm overall length , 4.5 mm orifice
2. 150 mm overall length, 6.3 mm orifice.
Both nozzles have 3/4” NPT female thread.

Emulsion Nozzles
Emulsion Nozzles are used to spray water-based emulsion on roads
and footpaths. They are normally mounted on a spray bar or a hand
lance. Body is manufactured from cast brass with machined threads
while cap is machined from brass.
Inlet is 3/8” BSP female. |

|
Adjustable Emulsion Nozzles
These are a larger version of the Emulsion Nozzle having a cast
bronze body with machined threads. The adjustment needle is machined
brass.
Used on spray bars where it is desirable to have fine adjustment of the spray
output or to be able to turn-off the spray completely.
Inlet is 1/2” BSP female. |
